Mirabell Palace and its exceptional garden

The Prince Archbishop Wolf Dietrich of Raitenau commissioned this sumptuous palace in 1606. This palace served as residence for his mistress Salome of Altenau and their 15 children. Nowadays the palace is used for the local government of Salzburg. The marble hall – the heart of the palace – is known as one of the most beautiful wedding and concert halls worldwide where more than 1000 couples get married every year. Hellbrunn – Palace and trick fountains

Fortress Hohensalzburg
